Business Development / Operations Coordinator
Job Description
POSITION DESCRIPTION SUMMARY
TheBusiness Development & Operations Coordinator plays a key role insupporting company growth and ensuring efficient execution ofconstruction projects. This position assists with client development,bid preparation, and project coordination while working closely withthe Operations Manager to streamline internal processes. The idealcandidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and able to manage bothadministrative and project-related responsibilities in a fast-pacedconstruction environment.
KeyResponsibilities:
- Identify and research potential clients, subcontractors, and project opportunities
- Assist in preparing bids, proposals, and prequalification packages
- Coordinate bid submissions, deadlines, and required documentation
- Maintain relationships with clients, vendors, and partners through consistent follow-up
- Track and update leads, opportunities, and bid status
OperationsCoordination
- Support the Operations Manager in overseeing daily project activities
- Coordinate communication between office staff, project managers, and field teams
- Track project schedules, milestones, and deliverables
- Assist with permitting, compliance documentation, and project startup requirements
- Help maintain organized project files, contracts, and documentation
Project& Administrative Support
- Prepare reports on project progress, pipeline activity, and operational performance
- Schedule meetings,site visits, and internal coordination calls
- Assist with procurement tracking, subcontractor coordination, and material logistics
- Ensure documentation is accurate, complete, and submitted on time
Cross-FunctionalCollaboration
- Serve as a liaison between business development, operations, and project teams
- Help ensure client expectations align with project execution timelines
- Support continuous improvement of internal workflows and processes
Qualifications:
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Construction Management, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 1–3 years of experience in construction, business development, or operations support
- Familiarity with construction processes, bidding, and project coordination preferred
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with project management or construction software is a plus

Authorityand accountability:
TheProject Coordinator is delegated sufficient authority by theOperations Manager of Msquare Construction, Inc. to carry out theresponsibilities and duties of the position. These authoritiesinclude, but may not be limited to:
- Investigating and developing the resolution of all litigated and non-litigated insurance claims including general liability, vehicle, equipment and property.
- Responsible for the release, review and return of all sub-contracts in compliance with corporate insurance requirements, ensure the hold harmless requirement, tax compliance and internal reporting.
- The Project Coordinator has the authority to take any reasonable action necessary to carry out the responsibilities of the position, as long as it is consistent with established policy and risk control management.
- Accountability:The Project Coordinator is accountable directly to the Operations Manager for the efficient accomplishment of all responsibilities assigned.
